Creating a vision board can be fun and easy. A vision board is a visual representation of your goals and dreams.

You keep the board somewhere that you will look at often, so you are reminded of your dreams and goals. Vision Boards can help you stay focused on your goals and dreams.

Do Vision Boards Work?

The concept of creating a vision board may seem corny or bogus. However, according to a TD Bank survey, people who keep images, photos, or vision boards of their goals are almost twice as confident that they will achieve them than those who don’t.

One in five small business owners used a vision board or other visual representation when starting their business; 76% of those business owners said that today their business is where they envisioned it would be when they started it.

How Do You Create a Vision Board?

  • Creating a vision board can be simple or elaborate.  You can use a poster board, cut images out of magazines, or use a computer to design one.

  • Go through magazines or your computer to find images, phrases, and words representing your goals

  • Get a great photo of yourself to use.

  • Layout your images. You can use a different theme for the corners (Health, Career, Relationship).

  • If you use a poster board, glue the images; if you use a computer, print the board.

  • Use markers. paints, stickers, and anything else you want on your board.

  • Take a photo of your board and use it as the background for your phone, tablet, and computer.

  • Hang your VISION BOARD someplace where you will see it daily.  (Refrigerator, bathroom mirror, closet door).
